The day was filled with camaraderie and appreciation, continuing the week’s celebration of law enforcement officers and their dedication to community safety.

Monday May 13, 2024

We had a fantastic start to Law Enforcement Appreciation Week on Monday, May 13th. A heartfelt thank you goes out to all our sponsors, volunteers, elected officials, and our speaker for making the event a success.

WM Grocery provided a delicious taco bar, complemented by tea, water, desserts, and all the necessary dining supplies. Our event was generously sponsored by Wellborn Cabinet. The White Plains Choir delivered a stirring performance of the National Anthem, setting a patriotic tone for the day. We were honored to have Rick Burgess as our featured speaker, whose words were both inspiring and motivating.

A special thank you to Congressman Mike Rogers for attending and showing his support. We also extend our deepest gratitude to all the Law Enforcement Officers and retirees who participated, celebrating the dedication and service of those who protect our community.

We are thrilled to announce that Officer Billy Roche was awarded the Officer of the Year by the Alabama Law Enforcement Appreciation Foundation (ALEAF). Officer Roche was selected for this prestigious award due to the outstanding service and dedication he routinely provides to the public. He has served in Calhoun and Cleburne counties for 8 years. Congratulations, Officer Roche!
